You might have indulged a little too much for the holidays, but that’s what New Year’s resolutions are all about. Now is a great time to think about getting healthy and staying healthy all year long.
First, remember to drink plenty of water. Keeping hydrated is especially important during the dry, cold Colorado winters.
Second, keep walking. Taking a stroll around the block helps your circulation and your heart and it provides a nice break from the day, and it’s easy to do with a friend or loved one. Getting an electronic step counter can motivate you to make walking a part of your daily routine.
Change up your routine with cross training – add biking, swimming, yoga or aerobics to keep things interesting.
And finally do exercises to help with balance issues. Please consult your doctor or personal trainer before starting a new routine if you have specific health concerns.
